Nora Springs Veteran's Memorial

We drove to Nora Springs, Iowa yesterday (11-24-02) to visit family and friends and see the new Veteran's Memorial on the north end of main street. The pictures below speak to the beauty of the memorial. I only photographed three sections of the names, one of my great-grandfather Eli Merrit Hutchinson who served in the 27th Iowa during the Civil War, John Hofler who is a friend, and Nanette K. Morphew who is my niece. I understand that many more names are about to be added so when those get on the granite, I'll photograph all the names and post them here. I'm hoping to do that at a time when all of the trees in the background are full of leaves. So, I'll probably try to do that little task next spring or fall (mission accomplished 10-11-03). I won't put a copyright on any of these pictures so if you want to print them off for your personal album, go for it! Larry Morphew
