Recently, J.F. Pankow emailed me with some Guilford County (Lindsey) information that some may be able to help with. You may access that page HERE.

STOP THE PRESSES! This just in (6/05) from Nils Visser & Zoe Heukels-Morffew of The Netherlands [isn't the internet just amazing!]? Nils and Zoe have put together some preliminary findings, based upon some deep searching of the internet, regarding our origins. This is exciting and fascinating reading and I would encourage you to download it and include it with your own genealogical files. The material may be accessed HERE.

AND EMAILS -- bless the emails! Quite frequently I receive emails from people just trying to connect to their name in one way or other. I am going to try to remember to post some of these here and start with some I received in 2006 and 2007. I won't post them all as many are from schoolchildren who are simply seeking info for a paper they are writing but some give us additional insight into who we are and why we're here. Those I'll be posting from time to time (sans email addys and addresses) and I will begin with these three: James Morphew - June 25, 2006, Linda Louise Morphew Dottery - November 21, 2006, Joe Morphew - January 11, 2007.

SARAH HOGGAN (also a Morphew) recently allowed me to upload a photo of her great-grandmother Jessie Lee Morphew from her family photo archives. Thanks for contributing to the photo side of this archive Sarah! (more to come?)

PETER MORPHEW recently allowed me to upload a photo from his family archives. Peter and his siblings are from the U. K. The contribution is much appreciated. (thanks much Peter!)

STEVE MORPHEW recently allowed me to scan and upload five photos from his family archives. Steve is the son of Lee Morphew. The contribution to the family pictures side of this website is very much appreciated. (thanks Steve!)

<a href="mailto:tlggg@earthlink.net">George Gordon has sent a most interesting Revolutionary War document regarding our James and John Burke. Thanks for sharing, George!

George writes:
Larry,
Here is a copy of James Edward Burk and son John's service info.
It came from a D.A.R. application for a Burk descendant that was filled out in 1922.
Take care.
George Gordon

Margaret D. Davis sent me this email on 7-19-00. I post it here and want to tell you that it contains over 160 webpages which I finally finished uploading tonight (7-30-00). This is a major contribution to our family site and I want to personally thank Margaret for her efforts. Margaret says:

Hi Larry,

My cousin in England sent me lots of wonderful info on our Morphew family line.

We were wondering if you would like to gedcom it into your files. Our connection is our Great grand Father, Edgar Morphew b. 1879 in Kent England. The line goes back to a connection with yours in Jeffery Morphew m. 1690/91 To Elizabeth.

Please e-mail me if you are interested, and thank you for all the work you have done on our family lines, You have helped us greatly.

Sincerely,

Margaret Davis NC

Linda Louise (Morphew) Dottery (This first e-mail was followed by another on 5-31-00 with a very interesting civil-war story about some of her ancestors.) Again, it is all accessible HERE.

I recently received this email (3-5-00) and post it here for your continued quest for the Morphew truth!

Hi Larry,
I recently re-visited your web site and noticed Polly Murphy only had 2 children from our line (Soloman) listed and he had 10.
I am attaching Soloman's line so you can put it on the web site.
Thank you for putting the MORPHEW books on-line. It has saved me a lot of copying.
I enjoy the site.

The following email was also received from Yvonne in response to my placing the previously mentioned material on the website.

Hi Larry,

Thanks for putting up Soloman's line. Here is his father Aaron.

MARILYN WALKER has done much research on the Eggers/Morphew connection. She very graciously gave me permission to place her research on this website. Lots of good information for serious researchers. Check it out! (thanks Marilyn!) Her own website is linked below.

POLLY MURPHY has done much research on the Murphy/Morphew connection. She very graciously gave me permission to place some of her research on this website (with a promise of more to come!). Good information for serious researchers. Check it out! (thanks Polly!)

BETTY COLE sent me an interesting email regarding the Ingle/Morphew and Estill/Morphew connections. She was nice enough to give me permission to place her email on this website. Interesting information for serious researchers. Check it out! (thanks Betty!)

MELISSA MORPHEW sent me an interesting email regarding Clint Morphew (Listing 284 in the family tree--Clint Morphew--in book 2). She was gracious enough to give me permission to place her email on this website. Interesting information for serious researchers. Check it out! (thanks Melissa!)

SHERRY COLLINS sent me an interesting email regarding Ganer Prince Morphew. She most kindly gave me permission to place her email and our corresspondence on this website. Interesting information for serious researchers. Check it out! (thanks Sherry!)

GENE O. ROBERTSsent me an interesting email regarding Emily C. (Morphew) Goodrick's descendancy. He very kindly gave me permission to place our correspondence on this website and in the process paid me a very nice compliment (which I have to admit is appreciated). Interesting information for serious researchers. Of particular interest is the civil war information. Check it out! (thanks Gene!)

JOHN ARTHUR MORFFEW has done some amazing research in the United Kingdom. He shares this information with us here. All I can say is, where have you been John!?! Folks, friends, this is serious stuff. Lots of names dating back to 1540. If my memory serves me correctly, Cortez, Coronado, de Soto, and the boys were just getting started with their nasty business at about that time. I have always believed that there was a researcher like John Arthur Morphew out there somewhere but I have never been able to find him/her. Because of this website John found me and I am very grateful. He promises more. He has a handle on our roots! We're from Europe friends! Isn't the internet wonderful? I might also mention that I am in contact with Peter John Morphew (from Kent, England) and Diane Morphew from Willingdon, Eastbourne England. Who knows what they may contribute? This is getting very exciting!
